Again at the request of the National Park Service, we designed and produced this portable 3D map showing the upper Glacier Bay area of Alaska. 14” x 14” in size, the map is used by the Park Rangers to brief passengers aboard cruise ships visiting the bay. We used aerial imagery for the base layer, with graphic overlays labeling the bays and glaciers. Then we reinforced the back of the map with foam and fiberglass to turn it into a rigid 3D model that is lightweight but able to tolerate lots of handling.
