This detailed raised-relief trail map of Great Smoky Mountains National Park uses our precision thermoform molding process to realistically reproduce the park’s rugged terrain at a scale of 1:180,000. The map covers the park’s more than 500,000 acres spanning North Carolina and Tennessee. A subtle elevation color ramp image enhances the changes in elevation while detailed annotations identify terrain features, trails (including the Appalachian Trail), shelters, campsites, and ranger stations, as well as rivers, streams, and lakes.
Deciding Between Framed or Unframed OptionsThis map is available in two forms: poster-style, convenient for pinning to a wall or bulletin board, or fully framed and ready to be displayed as art. We carefully trim, mount, and frame each map to ensure a perfect fit in a hand-assembled frame crafted of either solid wood or black anodized aluminum.
If you intend to showcase the map as decor, we encourage you to order a framed version up front. Our framed map prices are well below those of a typical framing shop, but we’re not able to provide frames separately for maps that have already been shipped.
